Local Driver ( L -D )

Job Overview:

The role of the Local Driver (L – D) is tasked with conducting close protection driving for the client located in Libya. Also is responsible for providing efficient and high-quality support directly to the client. He or She will work in the Operations Department and will report directly to his team leader.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Drives B6 armored vehicles and other soft skin vehicles as designated, in direct support of the operational tasks of the Close Protection Team.
• Ensures routine preventive maintenance of the car and provides the Close Protection Team Leader assigned with schedules for the planning and actual deployment of the vehicle.
• Maintains and ensures that the vehicle is operational and fully equipped at all times and ready to be deployed in operational conditions.
• Verifies the presence of the equipment, its maintenance and quality.
• He/ She is in charge with driving members of the Close Protection Team on assigned tasks.
• He/ She will assist in communications with the host nation security checkpoints and local security points of contact, in order to facilitate ease of access for the Close Protection Team.
• Reports directly to the Close Protection Team Leader assigned on operational matters as well as contract and administrative issues.
• Follow instructions as determined in Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for Close Protection Operations.

Requirements:                                                                                    

• Proven professional working experience of no less than 5 years.
• Advanced ability to communicate with others (both verbal and written communication skills) Good Team Player
• Physical fit
• Ability to work under pressure
• Knowledge and Ability to work in CP environments in flexible mode
• Basic first aid knowledge
• Basic computer knowledge
• Ability to speak, understand, read and write English.
