Job Description

To support the implementation of this project, Super Novae is looking for a national coordinator based in Tripoli, Misrata or Zintan. The national coordinator will report to the international team leader and should ideally start on the 1st of June 2021.

The National Coordinator is a key position for Super Novae and the project. The mission is demanding and requires frequent travels within Libya and may entail international trips.

The candidate should justify:

- – At least 10 years of professional experience working at international level
- – A BA in Economy, Business Management, Political Sciences;
- – 5+ years in international project management;
- – 3+ years for an NGO or a start-up targerting social development, entrepreneurship andvulnerable community support;
- – Sound understanding of economic issues, including economic policies andentrepreneurship;
- – Fluent command of English and Arabic;
- – Excellent writing skills

Benefits

The contract will last 12 months as of the 1st of June 2021. Upon performance of the candidate and the growth of the portfolio, the contract and its scope may be extended;

Super Novae can offer a service contract or a staff contract under Libyan labor law for this position. The yearly salary range varies between 60/80K LYD.

Job Requirements

The national coordinator will be responsible for the daily follow-up of the project, making sure the objectives, deliverables and deadline are met. More specifically, he/she will:

– Advise the team leader on the implementation of activities, especially with regard to stakeholders engagement;
– Represent Super Novae to various meetings and workshops, including with Libyan Ministries and through donor coordination meetings
– Ensure the day-to-day liaison with operational stakeholders to ensure a smooth implementation of the activities, including EUlead staff, partners, contractors, and beneficiaries;
– Support Super Novae’s registration in country through pro-active measure;
– Support the international monitoring and evaluation expert in monitoring the impact ofthe project through pre and post testing and suggest corrective actions if relevant;
– Support the international and national communication experts in identifyingcommunication opportunities for the donors;
– Organize relevant trainings, including at logistical level when necessary;
Support the backstopping of the project through the provision of narrative and financial reports;
