A newly established shipping company is looking to hire an Operations Manager:
The Operations Manager will be Responsible for carrying out the following Tasks, & Duties:
-Proactively manage daily freight forwarding activities of the company including daily operations in terms of daily follow up with Carrier/Agents for shipments arrival date.
-Follow up shipping instructions and coordinate shipments with Customers.
-Send arrival notice to customers.
-Follow up with clients
-Responsible for the accuracy of invoices, bills of lading, shipping statements.
-Dealing with shippers/consignees requirements
-Dealing with truckers and customs clearance brokers
-Dealing with agents worldwide
-Explore new fields of business
-Handling invoices with clients and accounting department
-Maintaining good relations with shipping Lines
-Develops people to their highest potential through necessary training and performance management
-Responsible for ensuring cross training for all positions is complete and documented
-Maintaining customers focus on all times and answers to customers’ inquiries using the standards guidelines
-Taking ownership of complaint and queries and proactively following through to resolution
-Perform various customer service activities.
Required Skills:

-Excellent computer skills, advanced office applications.
-Excellent English skills.
-Experienced with handling general cargo shipments and all related issues
-Have the ability to handle issues with any partner in this business (shipping line, cargo owners, brokers and involved authority).
-Able to find new clients and have the skills to communicate with them.
A diploma in Business or marketing.
Years of Experience 2–3 years
