Job Description
Title: NFIs Supervisor
Cesvi has been one of the first INGOs intervening in Libya, as soon as the Arab Spring begun in 2011 and is carrying out a Humanitarian Protection Program in Tripoli and Misrata within different settings, included Child Protection program since 2016.The project “Life Saving Assistance to refugees and asylum seekers in Libya” funded by UNHCR, intend to promote a favorable protection environment for refugees, asylum seekers and irregular migrants in Tripoli through Protection monitoring and referrals to targeted services. The NFIs Supervisor will work, in compliance with CESVI policies and Code of Conduct, closely with Persons of Concern, mainly refugees, asylum seekers and their families. S/he will be in charge of supervising and ensuring good quality of distribution in CDC and Serraj UNHCR Registration Office.
Specific tasks and responsibilities:
- Organize the schedule for the distribution of NFIs in the CDC and in Serraj UNHCR Registration Office.
- Conduct daily, weekly and monthly checks of the items received and distributed;
- Ensure that the remaining items in the storage room are matching with the quantity indicated in the Database.
- Supervise the distribution of NFIs both in CDC and in Serraj UNHCR Registration Office;
- Check the hard copies of distribution lists and ensure that they are well compiled and contain POCs signatures.
- Supervise the NFIs related database, filled by the NFIs Officers;
- Contribute to the development of NFIs SOPs;
- Report weekly to Field Program Coordinator information on the NFIs left and the NFIs needed in the CDC (through related tool);
- Organize Needs Assessment to determine NFIs needs and related response;
- Prepare weekly and monthly report on the items distributed;
- Liaise with UNHCR for the request of Hygiene Kits and NFIs needed in CDC and Serraj UNHCR Registration Office;
- Liaise with Logistic team to ensure proper distribution in the CDC and Serraj UNHCR Registration office;
- Represent CESVI in a professional manner in meetings and ensure good cooperation with local partners and other relevant actors;
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams, trainings and meetings;
- Respect Cesvi’s Standard Operating Procedures and Code of Conduct for the Confidentiality and the Prevention of Sexual Harassment;
- Assist in performing other tasks as requested by the Field Program Coordinator and CDC Manager.
Job Requirements
- University degree in social work, social administration, social sciences, development studies, or a relevant field is an asset.
- At least 1 year experience with UN or Non‐Governmental organizations is an asset.
- Trainings in child protection and/or GBV minimum standards and gender mainstreaming are an asset.
- Previous experience of work with migrant and refugee communities is an asset.
- Good understanding of Protection Principles and Case Management standards
- Good command of written and spoken English.
- Good communication skills and ability to conduct training and awareness campaigns
- Good computer skills especially Microsoft packages.
- Good organizational and management skills.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
Duty station: Tripoli
Responsible to: S/he will report directly to the CDC Manager.
