Main Purpose |
Participate in defining, coordinating and monitoring the medical activities under his/her responsibility according to MSF protocols, standards and procedures in order to ensure the delivery of quality medical care for patients and their communities as well as to improve the health condition of the target population |

MSF Section/Context Specific Accountabilities |
· If needed, perform medical consultations in the Mobile Clinic (Detention centers, Bani Walid, and other surrouding communities) and OPD.
· Implement and ensure good communication with the MSF medical team in Bani Walid and other areas of operation as they arise · Ensure routine field visits ( detention centers, NCDC OPDs, TB unit, Outreach, identify gaps/problems and propose and discuss solutions with the medical referrent. · Be the focal point for all referred patients and their follow up, and maintain contacts at referral hospitals. To be available to be contacted in the event of emergency or acute developments with any referred patient. · Ensure the his/her team are strictly applying the MSF guidelines and procedures to prevent accidental exposure to blood, and to inform the medical referent as soon as there is and accidental exposure. · When delegated, assist the Medical Referent with staff health issues ONLY in the absense of MeRef. if required. · Perform additional tasks as deemed necessary by the direct line manager, including covering gaps in the absence of MedRef. · Ensure regular visits (at least 7 working days per month) to Baniwalid to support and supervise the Medcial team there. · Identify knowledge and skill gaps among the medicla doctors and recommend on job training. |
Requirements | |
Education | Medical doctor diploma registered with Libyan Medical Board |
Experience | Essential 1 year clinical experience minimum
Desirable previous experience with MSF or other NGO in the field |
Languages | Essential English and Arabic, French is desirable |
Knowledge | Essential computer literacy (word, excel and internet) |
