About Sheikh Taher Al-Zawi Charitable Foundation (STACO):
STACO is a leading humanitarian organization committed to providing aid and development assistance in Libya. We work in areas such as education, healthcare, sustainable development, and emergency relief to support vulnerable communities. We are currently seeking a Photographer and Graphic Designer to join our team to help visually capture and promote our impactful work. This role will also include supporting STACO’s podcast production, helping to amplify our voice and message through digital audio content.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Photography:
    • Capture high-quality images of STACO’s field activities, including events, humanitarian missions, and community programs.
    • Document the progress and impact of various projects and activities to support reporting, outreach, and communication needs.
    • Ensure visual consistency and style in all photography projects to align with the Foundation’s branding.
  2. Video Editing (Montage):
    • Edit raw footage into polished, professional videos that effectively highlight STACO’s initiatives, success stories, and humanitarian efforts.
    • Add creative elements such as music, graphics, and special effects to make videos engaging and impactful.
    • Manage video projects from concept to final delivery, ensuring timely completion.
  3. Infographic and Report Design:
    • Design innovative and visually appealing infographics to translate complex data and information into easy-to-understand visuals for reports, social media, and presentations.
    • Work closely with program teams to produce graphic-rich reports, newsletters, and other visual content to showcase STACO’s achievements and progress.
  4. Visual Content Management:
    • Collaborate with the communications team to develop a cohesive visual content strategy for social media, websites, and promotional materials.
    • Create branding and marketing materials such as posters, banners, brochures, and digital graphics.
    • Ensure all content adheres to STACO’s visual identity and helps amplify our message across multiple platforms.
  5. Podcast Production and Management:
    • Assist in planning, producing, and managing STACO’s podcast episodes, which cover humanitarian, development, and community-focused topics.
    • Record, edit, and mix podcast audio to ensure high-quality sound for episodes.
    • Design promotional graphics for podcast episodes, ensuring consistency with STACO’s visual brand.
    • Collaborate with the communications team to brainstorm podcast content ideas and strategies for engaging listeners.
    • Manage podcast distribution across platforms such as Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and other major streaming services.
  6. Social Media Content and Management:
    • Develop and implement engaging visual content for STACO’s social media platforms.
    • Collaborate with the communications team to create a content calendar that aligns with STACO’s key campaigns, events, and initiatives.
    • Monitor social media trends and analytics to adjust strategies and increase engagement and reach.
    • Design promotional posts, banners, and videos to communicate STACO’s work and impact effectively.
    • Engage with followers and respond to comments, ensuring that STACO’s voice and messaging remain consistent.

Requirements:

  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in photography, video editing, graphic design, and/or podcast production.
    • Proven portfolio of visual content (photographs, videos, infographics) and audio projects (podcasts, sound editing) showcasing creative and technical expertise.
  • Skills and Competencies:
    • Proficiency in design software including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and video editing tools such as Adobe Premiere and After Effects.
    • Experience with podcast production tools such as Adobe Audition, Audacity, or similar audio editing software.
    • Strong creative vision, with a deep understanding of photography techniques, lighting, and composition.
    • Flexibility to travel to field sites and adapt to different working conditions as required.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
    • Ability to work under tight deadlines, manage multiple projects, and maintain high-quality standards.
  • Educational Qualification:
    • A degree or certification in Photography, Graphic Design, Multimedia Arts, or a related field is an added advantage but not mandatory if skills and experience are strong.
