Job Description
Title: Meal Officer
The project ‘Enhancing the resilience of vulnerable girls and boys in West Libya through access to quality education and psychosocial services.’ funded by UNICEF, intends to promote a favorable protection environment for refugees and asylum seekers residing in Libya.
MEAL is an independent unit in Cesvi which collects, verifies, analyzes and reports data to report on project successes and challenges, and to identify ways to improve project design and implementation, as well as accountability to beneficiaries.
The Meal Officer will be mainly dedicated to the weekly and monthly activity donor reporting in external platforms and Cesvi internal tools, to data collection through Post Distribution Monitoring surveys for cash-based activities, and follow up with field team for the timely implementation of other data collection needed.
Specific tasks and responsibilities:
- Monthly data collection through Post Distribution Monitoring (PDM) interviews conducted via phone or face to face for cash-based activities and implementation of focus group discussions.
- Data entry on weekly, monthly and quarterly basis for external and internal reporting platforms and tools (PRP/Activity Info/PMF Cesvi tool).
- Weekly quality checks and monitoring of data collected by field teams in all the activity databases.
- Cleaning and analyzing project monitoring and evaluation data mainly from surveys and questionnaires conducted by the field staff.
- Contribute in updating the PDM questionnaires for cash assistance
- Monitor progress on achievement of results and provide relevant input, information, and statistics for weekly, monthly and final report when requested.
- Technical support to project personnel in using activity databases (excel troubleshooting).
- Represent CESVI in a professional manner in meetings and ensure good cooperation with local partners and other relevant actors;
- Keep abreast of developments and understand the latest information on data protection, confidentiality and other legal issues that impact on the protection of vulnerable groups or individuals;
- Assist in any other duties relating to nature of the job as may be requested by the Supervisor for the best development of Cesvi activities
- Respect CESVI’s Standard Operating Procedures and Code of Conduct for the Confidentiality and the Prevention of Sexual Harassment;

Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in international development or a related field; Master’s Degree a plus
- Experience with MEAL, or data collection, survey implementation is preferred
- Experience in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), data entry into online databases and
- forms, and working with various office equipment
- Data analysis experience, both quantitative and qualitative
- Fluent spoken and written English and Arabic
- Good command of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook – Required
- Ability to organize work efficiently and deliver assignments in a timely manner often under time constraints
- Ability to work effectively remotely as a team member and with minimal supervision
