Job Overview

A public Libyan oil company working in the field of oil operations would like to hire an employee according to the following job description:

REPORTS TO:	Electrical & Instrumentation Superintendent

LOCATION	Field	WORK MODE		4on/4off cycle

OBJECTIVES OF JOB

The Instrumentation Senior Supervisor is responsible for the installation, calibration, and maintenance of all field-based instrumentation within the existing Company A91 and A107 concessions. The systems are state of the art systems utilizing flow, pressure, level & temperature switches/transmitters, control valves etc. connected to a DCS system in a central control room. The instrumentation section is also responsible for instrumentation installed on such services as water treatment plants, compressed air systems etc. and all utilities associated with a self-contained desert-based facility as well as the wellhead instrumentation for ESD and control systems. He is also responsible for following up daily work for instrument technicians and make sure all jobs performed in good manner and recorded in GMS.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure that all works are carried out in line with the Companies HSE policy and that all personnel under his direction are aware of the policy.
Ensure HSE audits are carried out in accordance with specified requirements.
Carry out installation, calibration, maintenance, and commissioning of all field-based instrumentation and associated cabling, tubing etc.
Follow up instrumentation daily work and make sure all jobs are done as required and recorded in GMS.
Review of Company warehouse instrumentation stock material and make necessary orders.
On completion of works ensure all relevant documentation, inspection certificates, P&IDs etc., are updated for integration into the Company DCC.
Provide support as required to large projects executed in the field such that they can be completed timely
Maintain good communications with all Company employees.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

A recognized qualification in a relevant engineering discipline
8 years related experience in instrumentation of oil and gas facility, preferably in a remote desert environment.
Good knowledge on repairing of different types of valves and control valves.
Good experience in vibration systems such as BENTLY NEVADA would be preferred.
Good experience on flow computers and export metering.
General knowledge of PTW systems as applied to oil production facilities.
Flexible approach to work for the incorporation of unexpected requirements
Ability to define/identify and analyses problems.
Good communication skills in English language both written and verbal
Knowledge of relevant International standards
Computer literate, MS Office, MS Project etc.,
